The J&K Administration has appointed nearly 10,000 educated and young persons from different villages of the UT as Lumbedars and Village Guards in a grassroots-level reformative measure. The Chief Secretary, Dr Arun Kumar Mehta, praised the Divisional and District Administration for completing the feat in record time and advised them to create a WhatsApp group for these basic workers to establish continuous communication.
